About Us

OTAS advocates have provided and continue to provide services to a large number of clients including Primary Care Trusts (PCT's), Private Hospitals, Local Authorities, Young Offenders Institutions and other private and individual clients. 

We have trained advocates with extensive experience of providing advocacy and advice to foreign nationals within prisons and detention centres which include HMP Wormwood Scrubs, HMP Brixton, Hammonsworth, Tinsley House, Orchard Lodge and Colnbrook.  Specialised training has also been undertaken by our advocates in human rights advocacy with the World University Service with particular focus on Advocacy for Black and Ethnic minorities (BMEs).

Key Focus

Our model of advocacy provision revolves around a professional service provided by trained and paid advocates.  Whilst we acknowledge the valuable contribution made by volunteers, our emphasis is on ensuring that those who provide the service are fully equipped with the requisite skills to ensure the best possible delivery.
